?Spring?- Easter Basket Ideas

With Easter right around the corner, it is time to prepare Easter baskets for the kids! Instead of filling their baskets with candy-filled eggs, I avoid the risk of a sugar high…and crash with other fun surprises.

I’m LATE to the game and had nothing for Easter until this morning. So in my grocery shopping pick up order I included gift cards in it (for my teenagers).
.
Then I went to Amazon and bought a few items. Each child gets 3 items in their basket. What I grabbed:
.
?Teenage daughterAndalou smelly lotion, Lauren Brooke lipgloss, and Fontana candle (already had).
?Teenage sons – new basketball, swim trunks, and gift cards (grocery order).
?Younger kids – book, game, and swimming suits. (Many of the items pictured on this post were still available on Amazon).
.
?Rather than candy or small toys that will get lost, my main go-to will be Easter eggs full of coins. I also love to fill Easter eggs with those coupons pictured above.

Coupons are a great idea to offer kids something to look forward to! They can include things such as “get out of ____ chore” or “extended bedtime”. With us all stuck at home, my kids will love coupons saying:

No unloading the dishwasher
Late night
Two free hours on xbox
Etc.

Many claim holidays are too full of sugar. However, they don’t have to be! There are many ways to make the holidays fun, without high doses of sugar. It doesn’t have to be elaborate. Simple, easy, and healthy!
