Fear vs. knowledge:
Is learning about earthquakes fearful, it can be. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t teach our kids about finding a secure doorway, desk, or table to use as shelter and to cover their heads.
Is learning about house fires fearful, it can be. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t teach our kids about our emergency evacuation plan, a family meeting spot, or how to get out of basement windows.
Is learning about all of the toxins in our world fearful, it can be. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t learn about what they can do to our bodies and the better product choices out there.
Due to the nature of this life, there are fearful things… battling a disease, passing an exam, school shootings, beginning a new job, finding new friends, changing doctors, toxins in our products, etc. But in all instances knowledge can make these things less fearful and therefore give you the power to act.
Knowledge gives you the power and freedom to make the choices best for you and your family. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “knowledge is the antidote to fear”.
“Fear is bred from ignorance, knowledge is the weapon against it.” (Jim Butcher) So if you ever think I’m “fearmongering,” please know that is never my intent. My intent is to educate so you are aware of better products out there and how the ingredients we eat can either contribute to dis-ease or help nourish our body. That is why I also state the research articles that the info has come from.
Also, many companies are trying to create cleaner healthier products, but it’s hard to stay on top of it all. So this page is just another “weapon” of knowledge to hopefully help you live in a world of illness, fatigue, and sadness with more health, energy, and joy to live your most fulfilled life.
So as you go through 2020 on your health journey, embrace the knowledge you gain from a variety of sources and use it as your weapon to make better choices for you and your loved ones! You are the gatekeeper to your body and your home. Don’t allow new knowledge to fear you!
