Food is Healing

By November 12, 2020No Comments

I’ve used this analogy many times on podcasts…

If your house were on fire, you’d put many water hoses on it, coming at it in all directions. You wouldn’t just put one little garden hose on it, and hope that it would save your home.

Same goes with your medical/health conditions. So many health issues don’t have just a one fix answer for everyone. So it’s a good idea to come at them with many “hoses”.

Some of these hoses can be: medicine, supplements, nutrition, exercise, therapy (which there are hundreds of different kinds), counseling, alternative medicine, energy work, meditation, reducing toxins, and more.

A lot of times, the role of food as a “hose” gets skipped over as one avenue to help in the healing process. (And a side note here, I get quoted all the time that I believe food heals depression. Lets state this clearly… I believe nutrition should be used as just one of the many avenues that are needed to actually heal from depression).

So pictured above are just a few examples of the science behind food and how it plays a part in your body. There are so many examples I could use!

What are your favorite foods to eat on your health journey?
