According to the WHO,
“Depression is a common illness worldwide, with more than 264 million people affected….Close to 800,000 people die due to suicide every year. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in 15-29-year-olds.”
For 2 years I had doctors tell me they didn’t know what could help my depression besides antidepressants (granted this was 15 years ago and I hope you wouldn’t have a doctor today say this to you. If you do, show them these slides 🙂
These slides do not claim these food will cure depression. These slides claim they can help depression.
There is no one cure for depression. Depression is a symptom of many root causes. Therefore healing from depression can take a myriad of different paths. It can involve different types of therapy, counseling, nutritional changes, supplementing, light therapy, detoxes, energy work, and the list goes on.
But, nutrition has a huge role to play within healing and it shouldn’t be skipped over or forgotten about.
