These “85” chemicals can contribute to:

Cancer
And so much more.

Yesterday I touched upon phthalates, today, let’s talk about formaldehyde releasors that are in many men’s products.

Formaldehyde can be added directly to products or more often, it is released from preservatives.

According to the EWG, the formaldehyde releasor chemicals to avoid are:
.
DMDM hydantoin
Imidazolidinyl urea
Diazolidinyl urea
Quaternium-15
Bronopol (2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol )
5-Bromo-5-nitro-1,3-dioxane
Hydroxymethylglycinate (1)
.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classifies formaldehyde as a human carcinogen.(2)

In 2011, the National Toxicology Program, an interagency program of the Department of Health and Human Services, named formaldehyde as a known human carcinogen.(2)

With all of these chemicals, we can never avoid all of them. But we can chose to buy products that don’t contain them!

????????⭐️The great thing is, there are some great men’s products to buy online and at stores like Target and Walmart. It’s not a hard switch to make 🙂
