How’s it going with replacing items or adding in items? Hopefully these posts have given you ideas to better your health journey.

REPLACE: Air pollutants

“A growing body of scientific evidence has indicated that the air within homes can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air in even the largest and most industrialized cities… people spend about 90% of their time indoors.  And indoor air pollution is one risk that you can do something about.” (1)

ADD-IN: Fiber

It is a prebiotic that feeds the good bacteria that reside in the gut. It also helps increase the amount of good bacteria. (2,3)

The American Heart Association recommends 25-30g a day. Unfortunately, the average American gets about 15 grams a day. (4)

Increasing fiber intake can help with weight loss. The bulk effect of fiber helps the body feel satiated for longer.(5)

Insoluble fiber is consistently associated with a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes.(6)

Is good for the heart. Data from a cohort of studies done in the US and Europe show dietary fiber was associated with a 14% decreased in risk for coronary disease and a 27% decrease in coronary death.(7)
