Added some cool whip and potato alternatives in there for you to think about for Thanksgiving. Whipping cream and mashed potatoes are easy to make from scratch and don’t need artificial flavors!

REPLACE – Artificial Flavors

1️⃣Means the flavor can have up to 100 man made chemicals mixed together.

2️⃣ In October 2018, the FDA finally banned 7 ingredients used in artificial flavors ????. They are benzophenone, ethyl acrylate, methyl eugenol, myrcene, pulegone, pyridine and styrene (1)

3️⃣ These 7 chemicals were shown to cause cancer in animals, that’s why they were banned (1)

4️⃣ These 7 chemicals were found in candy, gum, cereal, ice cream, baked goods, and more. They are the chemicals that make citrus, spearmint, mint, and cinnamon flavors.

5️⃣Food manufacturers had until October 2020 to get rid of these ingredients in their foods.(1)

6️⃣Companies do not have to tell us what is in their artificial ingredients. It’s their “trade” secret.

ADD-IN – Exercise

1️⃣Exercise increases blood and lymph flow as your muscles contract, it also increases the circulation of immune cells, making them roam the body at a higher rate and at higher numbers (2)

2️⃣Exercise helps to recruit specialized immune cells—such as natural killer cells and T cells—find pathogens (like viruses) and wipe them out (2)

3️⃣In a 2019 study, participants who took a 45-minute brisk walk experienced this uptick of immune cells floating around the body for up to three hours after the walk (2)

4️⃣2011 in the British Journal of Sports Medicine—found that those who did aerobic exercise five or more days of the week lowered the number of upper respiratory tract infections (like the common cold) over a 12-week period by more than 40%.(3)
