Is it nourishing❓ That’s my most common and favorite question I ask regarding food.
Is high fructose corn syrup nourishing?
Are artificial dyes nourishing?
Are hydrogenated oils nourishing?
Are artificial sweeteners nourishing?
Are artificial flavors nourishing?
You get the point!
Of course the fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, etc are the most nourishing with their fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytonutrients. They should be the daily go to snacks.
One fruit. One protein. One fat. Some veggies. A great snack!
And for those times when snacks on the go are needed for convenience or when in a hurry, you can still choose ones with the more nourishing ingredients.
